During December 2006 BBC Radio Devon was busy producing a radio drama about the story of Hallsands just along the coast. We were in need of a pub location to record some of the scenes, and we could not have had a warmer welcome from the Cricket. Nigel and his wife helped introduce some to some local with great stories to tell about Hallsands, and readily agreed for us to bring a cast of twenty down to the pub to record a scene. Needless to say it was the cast's favourite location, we had a great time, and the resulting scene in our radio drama worked very well. Thank you all at the Cricket Inn for being such a help. We'll back soon.

We spent our honeymoon here in 2004, our First anniversary in 2005 and we'll be back in November 2006!! Along the way, we've eaten in some of the finest fish restaurants in England and France, including the acclaimed Natural Oyster Company in Whitstable (and it WAS good) but none have matched this place in quality alone, let alone price. Long may it continue!
